good story but I’m confused, the prince mentions a brother early on in the book, who he refused to loose the throne to but later after he dies the king says he has no heirs and is thinking of making Duncan king, what happened to the other brother?

I really enjoyed the way this story started out, but I’m really struggling to keep going. The character development is tough, so that I don’t even really care about them. And the are parts to the story that could be developed more to build up the climax, but instead it moves so quickly. There is a problem or a bad person- boom, it’s over, then on to the next thing. I’m really hoping that it gets better, because the story itself is really interesting, but the execution is tough to follow.

the base of the story which you have here is a great start. I think you need to fill out the story there are so many ways to fill out the characters world. you did in ways fill out some parts but just not enough through the rest of story. when describing characters and places your painting a picture for your reader so the can see, hear and smell every bit of the scenes set. these are wolves so add the smells sometimes. get creative with the way you paint the scenes and characters. characters need to feel real so readers can connect and want to know them. you start with giving them emotion but it was anger and love that’s it. I’d like more backstory as well as motivation for why characters are the way they are better descriptors for the way they feel give them range make sure readers have better understanding of the shifters in this world why they act as they do. I didn’t like the way everything moved so fast without a better healing process.
