Chapter Five

KAIDA'S P.O.V.

I watched him swallow while I wait for an answer, but he didn't give any, I needed to get out of here, I turned to move, but he grabbed my hand and spark shoot through my veins, the mate bond never truly broke because he never accepted it

“What do you want from me?” I asked looking into eyes while trying not to budge at the mate bond and fall into that trap.

“I want you to stay” A laugh escaped my lips

“And what makes you think I'll stay after everything you've done?”

“I'm sorry, ok” This time I was truly taken aback, a man who is known to never apologize to anyone was going against all the rumors that I have heard “... I got protective when the men touched, and I'm sorry for marking you without a consent”

You have nowhere else to go, accept the damn apology

The voice in my head ring, and it groaned mentally knowing it was right, I truly have nowhere to go even if I was hell-bent in escaping before

“On two conditions” He looked at me before clearing his throat

“Sure”

“The pack will not leave like this”

“You are their Luna you can do whatever you want” The idea of being a Luna stroke me harder than expected, but it was an opportunity for me to get to know the pack more

“You'll help me get back at my parents” He furrowed his eyebrows confused as he looked at me

“What did they do?”

“You'll find out later. Deal?” I put my hand out and he grabbed it.

“Deal” I was suddenly pulled into his arms and I gasped when hit radiate from his body and he relaxed but for the first time since I got here I didn't actually feel the need to kill him “... I'm sorry” His apology sounded more true than ever but a branch crack behind us made him to pull away, and I looked ahead to see some of his guards.

“Alpha, We are sorry we let her escape, she shall return to her cell and…"

“No one lays a finger on my wife if you still want to be alive. Return to your duty post” His voice was cold, and they looked just as shocked as I am “... Leave” They hurried immediately and left and I looked at him.

“Wife?”

“We're getting married tonight, and you'll be the Luna of this pack from now on” He smiled before putting his hand behind him and walked to the pack's entrance “... Are you coming?” He asked, snapping me out of my imagination and I couldn't help but wonder.

Who was this man truly?

I got into the house and glares were thrown at me from different angles, mostly by the females and one of them glared more intensively than the rest, I guess that's what I get for being mated to the most feared Alpha

“Yvonne!” I jumped at Thoran's voice, and he steadied me before I fell off the stairs.

“Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you” He pulled me back up, and I looked to the ground

At this point whatever happened to the man I fought with an hour I want him back because there's no way my heart could handle such flattering in one day and the mate bond doesn't help in these matter

“Get your Luna ready for the wedding festival tonight. Anything she asks for, let her have it” Yvonne threw a fake smell towards me, and it didn't take intelligence to know that she hates me “... I'll see you later…" He pushed the hair off my face and kissed my forehead “... Fire hazard” My eyes met his and he smiled.

That smile was one thing I was certain was going to get me killed one day but right now, I couldn't let my guard down, not once

“Shall we?” Yvonne asked, and for a moment, I had completely forgotten about her as I watched Thoran walk downstairs.

“Yes” We walked into a room, and she shut the door so loud that I turned to look at her but choose to ignore her

After a long bath, she began doing my hair and at the third stroke I had enough of her

“What is your problem?” I turned around and pulled the comb out of her hands then she laughed.

“My problem? I should be asking you that, you can't just barge in here and decide to get married to the man I loved for years” Something in me snapped, and I had the girl pinned to the wall quicker than I thought.

“Listen here, Yvonne. I don't care what affairs you've had with him in the past, but he is my mate now and if I see you anywhere near him, I will shred you in pieces faster than the chef kills chicken for dinner, ok?” A bit of fear lingered in her eyes, but she knew too well I wasn't joking.

"Yes, ma'am" I stepped away from her as I released her

I blinked repeatedly as it occurred to me what I've done. Was I really laying my claim over a man I hated a few hours ago? I shook my head and took my seat before she continued brushing my hair and this time softly.

The mate bond was truly taking a troll on me

After two hours I was ready, and it was already night fall, I could hear the festival outside as people danced in joy and a knock at my door caught my attention

“Come in” I walked to the balcony and looked outside then his scent filled my nostrils but as I turned around, I saw him looking at me like a kid staring at a gift and I cleared my throat

“Are you ready?” He looked up to my eyes and I began walking out, but a commotion made me turn around, and I looked down the balcony to see people running and wolves attacking.

“The perimeters have been bridged!” Someone yelled, and my heart skipped a bit while watching people run for their lives.

“We needed to help them” I look at him, and he looked more like the man I saw when I first came here

“We must hurry” I removed my shoes as they felt uncomfortable to run in, but I was pulled into his arms before I pulled the other leg off

“What are you…" Lips crashed against my lips, and it felt like heaven had come down to Earth and everything else became a haze, and he broke it off by pulling away.

“Sorry, I have a bad habit of not asking for permission, now let's end this, we have a wedding to attend”
