Good looking people
Dali placed two knocks on the wooden door in front of her. She had walked away from where she saw Chase back to Celyn’s house. It was quite a shame that she had been deflowered and cast away by the same man she couldn’t stop thinking about.
Even now, after serving as a few minutes of pleasure for him, meeting his desires and being discarded in the embarrassingly way she had been, she still couldn’t stop thinking of him. She even went as far as to make up excuses for his actions.
“He probably doesn’t want anyone to see me with him because he doesn’t want to ruin my image,” she said to herself.
“And it could be that he also cannot stop thinking of me, and he finds it annoying that he cannot stop thinking of me,” she deluded herself.
The door finally opened and standing on the other side was her friend Celyn. It wasn’t a strange thing to see Dali knocking on her door at such odd hours.
For example, it was time for dinner, time for normal people to be seated around the table having dinner with their families, but Dali was standing outside her door, and from what Celyn could decipher from her state, Dali was yet to eat.
“Come in,” she beckoned her friend inside.
Dali walked in with no hesitation. She walked into the house like she owned the place and proceeded to take a seat on the sofa even without being offered one.
“Oh, it’s Dali.” Celyn’s mother walked into the living room.
She wasn’t a simple wolf but the Luna of her small pack. There weren’t a lot of people in the lack of healers but they were enough. They had a pack house a few miles from here, but Celyn’s mother, Alexa, preferred to have a house away from them in order to raise her daughter.
“Hello, auntie Alexa.” Dali smiled at her. Her mood had livened up after the many lies she had whispered to herself.
Alexa smiled warmly at her before turning to Celyn who stood by the table. “Get your friend something to eat, why are you just standing there looking like furniture.” Celyn moves quickly from her mother, avoiding the quick slap that was coming her way.
She walked into the kitchen and returned with a plate of food for her friend. She set it on top of the table right in front of Dali.
“Do you have no plan of returning home?” Celyn inquired.
Dali shook her head. “If I manage to secure a job at that pack house, why then would I need to go back to hell?”
Celyn chuckled. She had seen for herself what that hell looked like and she never thought to blame Dali for not wanting to return there. Her house was open to her friend but Dali had her heart set somewhere else.
Dali scrutinized the environment and after confirming they were alone, she leaned closer to her friend. “I saw the alpha again.”
Celyn was close to sending a slap her way. “What is wrong with you? I thought you were supposed to avoid him?”
Dali rolled her eyes, “You’re just being jealous,” she said. “And why would I avoid the man that just deflowered me.” She innocently took a spoonful of her food, using the plate to cover her face.
Celyn was speechless. She grabbed the plate of food and yanked it away from Dali. “What did you just say?” Her eyes were widened with shock.
Dali sighed and dropped her hand. “It all happened so fast and I could tell he couldn’t control himself as well.”
Celyn rolled her eyes and set the plate back on the table. “He is a man, they lack control, that’s what makes them monsters.”
“Watch your words!”
Celyn ignored her friend. “So after he deflowered you, he sent you away?”
Dali gasped, eyebrows raised and shock evident on her face. “How did you know?”
“So I was right?” Celyn laughed mockingly. “He’s such a terrible person. After he had his way with you, he told you to leave. Such an honorable trait.” She clapped her hands sarcastically.
Dali pointed her spoon at her. “You are asking for a beating.”
“At least I’m not as stupid as you.” She looked at her friend for a minute. “Please tell me you’re not thinking of going back to see him.”
“Why shouldn’t I?” Dali inquired.
“He told you to leave!” Celyn yelled. “He sent you away after he had sex with you, and you still want to go back to him?”
Dali pouted. “But I can’t stop thinking about him.”
“Come with me to the healer’s pack house, I promise you you’ll stop thinking about him. There are many good looking faces there, you’ll find someone worth your time.”
Dali scoffed, “That place is only filled with women, what do you mean good looking?”
Celyn shifted closer to her friend, taking her hand. “For your own good,” her voice grew softer. “You should stay away from that man. He is bad news.”
Dali shook her head. “More than you think, I want to. But I want him. I desire him, I cannot stop thinking about him, I do not understand this need for you. You have never felt this way about anyone before so I understand if you cannot relate to how I feel.”
Celyn nodded her head. In truth, she had never felt that way before. But in these recent days, in that pack house filled with good looking people, she had been feeling something close to what her friend felt. But there was a difference. She would never go back to someone who took advantage of her and cast her away.
When dusk fell, the two girls retired to Celyn’s bedroom and called it a night. Celyn’s soft snores filled the room, able to lure Dali to sleep, however, Dali’s heart stirred with the insatiable need for Chase.
Her body seemed to be burning from the inside, set ablaze by the memories that assaulted her consciousness. She stirred, turned, tossed around but nothing could put her to sleep. All she could think of was his lips.
She sat up on the bed, unable to keep her longing tucked in anymore. She slowly slid off the bed and stealthily found her way out of the house.
She found her way back to the clearing where she had met Chase earlier, where he had taken her and claimed her as his, stealing away her virginity.
As she walked closer, the memories from hours ago flooded her mind once more, just as they had been doing for hours long. She wasn’t sure she would be seeing him there though, she had only come to relive what had happened seeking nothing else.
However, before she could reach the bench, she faltered in her steps. Her heart racing in her chest.
And this was for one reason only.
On that wooden bench, where she had moaned his name earlier, Chase sat, legs spread wide open, upper body bare as his eyes dark with thirst staring at her.
Under the silver light emanating from the moon, his lips stretched slowly into a smile. “You’re here.”
