Stressed
Travis POV
“I don't think that's a good idea.”
Her sweet voice pierced through. All that rich girl vibes were gone and giving Innocence.
“Why?” I asked wondering why she rejected the offer. Anyone would be dieing to work with my sophisticated company.
“ Because it's going to be complicated.”
She folds her hands looking away like the conversation should be ended already.
I chuckled, “ Well, you already made things very complicated. Hillary.”
“I hope you're happy okay? I'm literally stranded and much likely…”
She stops.
“Most likely what?”
“I don't know, stray dog maybe. I don't have where to go anyways?”
“The fuck? Don't try to change the subject, chameleon.”
“What did you just call me.” Her brows furrowed and her lips pressed firmly. I tried to hold back laughing. She looked too innocent without even trying.
“You're worst than a chameleon, you know. Yes I called you that because of how you tricked me. What exactly did you want?”
I asked further deepening the conversation.
“Oh, I'm the one to blame now? And you? Why were you in a dating site looking for some girl to sleep with if you know you already have one.”
“Hey__”
“That explains it!” Her fingers points at me. “ You're scum and you're just a cheater. Does she know that that's what you are.”
“I smack my head annoyingly. “ Are you talking about Victoria.?”
“Who else? What else are you looking for exactly?”
A deep breath escaped my lips. If only I could tell her. My Head tilts towards the demolished apartment.
“ I didn't destroy your home Hillary. You were just too poor to not find a house. You and your Dad and the rest of the people. It's my property and I destroyed it because It's mine. Not because I felt like but because it's all related to work.”
The silence was reeling through. It seems my words scattered her heart, but I didn't give a shit. I don't care and I didn't want to gather any room for someone's emotions. I moved forward, we were only an inch away from each other.
“ You know what ?” My words came as a whisper.
“ You're not just someone desperate for money, you're like a dog that sniffs his master but in a different way__and yours is money. You dare act like someone else because what? Because you wanted not just sex. You wanted my money. Who knows what you would have done if you didn't run away that particular night.”
I gritted my teeth, “ whore.”
I could feel her pulse rising, her breath too. Poor girl. She wanted to cry. Tears had gathered at her eyes.
“Okay.” Her voice shuddered and I could feel she was already weak. “Fine.” She gave me more more look before walking out. I turned my back but all she did was walk and I just watched her did.
My phone's buzzed and the caller ID was Mr Richardson.
“Hello.”
“Mr Lancaster, You refused to give be feedback about the land for the event hall.”
I rolled my eyes, settling them on the demolished site. There sure was a lot of work to be done here.
“Yes Richardson. Of course for now it's just the packing up that needs to be done. I would definitely fasten work here while you should be patience with me. Okay? Sir.”
“Okay.”
I ended the call without hesitation. Fuck that. I hated when people disturb alot. I needed to rest, or drink or fuck or something. I went back into my car to go home. I can't believe I actually followed her here. After gliding through the streets, I finally arrived at Victoria's home. No I wasn't going back for her, I needed to take my stuff I left there.
I walked into the villa after parking my car and went straight to her room.
My eyes fell on her naked self sitting sultry on the bed sipping wine from a glass cup.
“Where did you go babe? You suddenly left.”
I walked into the room after closing the door.
“I had an important stuff to do.” I lied. “Where is my card? I think I left it here.”
She stretched to place the glass cup on her night stand.
“Your card is right here.” Her voice came as moan and she highlighted my black card in between her fingers.
I opened my palm for her to get up and place it but she smiled.
“Come and get it.” The sharp edge of the card slowly grazed through her pussy and she let out a deep hungry moan.
“Hell, no. Victoria. That is not a dildo or sex toy.” I grabbed my card from her hands and she pouted.
“What?”
“Nothing.”
“Come on babe. Let's have fun. Please.” Her hands circled around my neck. I jacked her body up on mine and she hugged me.
“I'm not your Babe. Okay? You know we are not dating.”
“We are.” She pressed.
“Victoria, we….”
She pulled my fingers and circled it around her pointy nipples. I really wasn't in the mood.
“Don't you want me? Travis.”
I sighed and released my grip from her body.
“Goodnight, I have work to do.”
I stood up and she scoffed. “ This isn't the way a boyfriend should treat his girlfriend.”
“I don't give a shit. You're not my girlfriend.”
“Travis, wait…”
I ignored her and walked out. I hopped into my car and drove home. I've really had another day being unproductive and I was really in need of a new assistant for work. My workers weren't giving me what I needed. I wasn't satisfied either.
For no reason, I couldn't help but think about Hillary. It was how beautiful she was. I made up my mind to send her a request on the dating site.
Imagine if we had actually had sex at the hotel. Would it have been worse, especially when she was working for Victoria.
“Fuck.” I groaned and I kept on receiving calls from work but too many things kept swirling around my head.
Why the hell do I have to talk to Hillary like that? That was rude of me. Really. Damnit. I'm fucking stressed.
I stared through the floor to ceiling windows and poured myself a drink from the bottle of vodka.
It was here again. All of those pains and stress and emptiness. I sat back and looked for a sharp object then my phone buzzed.
“Hello.”
“Hello Travis.”
Fuck, my therapy calling. But I was just about to have fun.
“ Sup, doc B.” I smiled informally.
