Chapter 4
Rachel’s eyes narrowed in shock, her hands pressing against her chest as she struggled to push Kevin away. Her voice trembled with fury, the sharp edge of her words quivering. “Are you out of your mind?”
He’d already pulled this stunt earlier today.
Didn’t he ever stop to think about what happened if they got caught?
Kevin’s strong arms were like an unyielding wall, pinning Rachel’s slender waist with no room to escape. “Stop pretending,” he growled. “You love the thrill of sneaking around just as much as I do.”
“Kevin, let go of me!”
Her pale, glass-like eyes blazed with anger.
But the raw difference in strength between them was undeniable.
No matter how hard she pushed with every ounce of energy she had, Kevin remained steady as a mountain.
In the heat of their struggle, he yanked off her nightgown in one swift motion, leaving nothing—not even her delicate underwear—between her skin and the cool air.
A shiver ran through her at the sudden exposure.
Yet, in the next heartbeat, her body was overwhelmed as his hot, commanding presence filled her completely.
The stark contrast between the cold air and his searing touch caught her off guard. A muffled groan escaped her lips before she could stop it.
Kevin loomed over her, drinking in the sight of her flushed face and the flicker of desire in her eyes. “Not pushing me away now, are you?” he taunted.
He lived for this angle.
Watching this exquisite flower bloom only for him, unfurling beneath his touch alone—it was everything.
Kevin silently thanked fate that his father’s age had dulled certain… capabilities.
Because if that weren’t the case, even he didn’t know how far he’d go when madness took over.
Rachel squirmed beneath him, her hips twisting instinctively. His rhythmic movements, laced with a wicked teasing edge, sent shuddering waves of pleasure through her, threatening to shatter her control.
Her delicate hands clutched the bedsheets for dear life.
“No… stop…”
She bit down on her lip, fighting against the rising tide of sensation threatening to drown her.
“All I hear is 'yes,'” Kevin murmured darkly. He gripped her chin, forcing her to meet his gaze. “Even your face is begging for it.”
In one fluid motion, he lowered his head, taking the soft curve of her breast and its sensitive peak into his mouth.
His lower body didn’t pause for a second.
Both of her most vulnerable spots were under siege at once.
The dual assault made Rachel tremble harder, broken moans spilling from her lips like fragments of a shattered melody—the sweetest sound in the stillness of the night, enough to melt anyone who heard it.
It didn’t take long before she was spiraling over the edge, her mind going blank as climax crashes over her. She gasped for air like a fish out of water, chest heaving desperately.
But Kevin was far from done.
His narrowed eyes glinted with something cold and dangerous. “I’ll give you one last chance to come clean,” he said icily. “Tell me there’s a reason behind all this.”
Rachel turned her head away, avoiding his piercing stare. A bitter smirk tugged at her lips. “Didn’t you make yourself crystal clear at dinner tonight?”
He had humiliated her in front of everyone just hours ago, and now he had the nerve to ask if she was hiding something?
What a joke.
A frosty shadow darkened Kevin’s gaze.
Suddenly, footsteps echoed outside the door.
Abigail’s hushed voice called out tentatively, “Kevin? Where are you?”
It was phrased as a question, but her voice lingered right outside Rachel’s room.
And then, as if on cue, Rachel’s phone blared to life beside her pillow.
Isaac’s name flashed across the screen.
Her panicked gaze darted up to Kevin, but he seemed completely unbothered by the mounting danger around them. Leaning closer, he whispered with undeniable authority, “Answer it.”
Rachel clenched her fists. If she ignored this call, Isaac would send someone to check on her—and then it was game over for both of them.
She hit accept with trembling fingers.
Isaac coughed twice before speaking. “Rachel, come see me for a moment.”
“Okay, I’m on my way,” she replied, forcing down the panic clawing at her throat.
The twisted web binding her to Kevin—if anyone found out, they were finished.
Outside, Abigail kept calling softly, “Kevin? Where did you go?”
Her voice was so close that Rachel sweared Abigail must know something—she could feel it in her bones.
The intoxicating high from moments ago evaporated, replaced by raw fear that shakes her to her core.
And yet, the source of all this chaos—Kevin—remained unfazed. He even had the audacity to shift inside her again, his voice low and rough as he stared at the door. “What do you think happens if they barge in and see us like this?”
Rachel didn’t want to imagine it—not for a second!
Though it was late and most of the house should be asleep by now, Abigail’s voice had stirred everyone awake.
The first voice Rachel heard clearly was Dennis’s. “Ms Wilson, what’s wrong?”
Abigail’s face was etched with worry as she answered, “Kevin disappeared all of a sudden—I’ve looked everywhere and can’t find him.”
As she spoke, her eyes flick toward Ralph standing behind Dennis. “Everyone’s here except Mrs Rachel Smith… Do you think something’s happened?”
That single sentence snapped everyone’s attention straight to Rachel’s tightly shut door.
Dennis strode over without hesitation and knocked sharply. “Step-grandma? Are you in there?”
Rachel’s body tensed like a startled animal caught in headlights. Her wide-eyed stare locked onto the door—she could almost feel someone bursting through any second now.
Instinctively, she dug her nails into Kevin’s arm. “Please… I’m begging you to stop.”
It was the first time she’d ever pleaded like this.
Outside, silence hung heavy—no response from within.
Abigail grew more frantic by the second. “Kevin’s gone missing without a trace! And now Mrs Rachel Smith isn’t answering either—what if something awful has happened?”
Her anxious expression masked the subtle implication in her words—a hesitation no one else seemed to catch.
Dennis didn’t waste another moment thinking it over. “I remember we’ve got spare keys somewhere—I’ll grab them right now.”
The sound of his footsteps receding sent ice through Rachel’s veins. She pleaded again, desperation cracking her voice. “I’m begging you—just end this.”
Kevin showed zero concern for their precarious situation; instead, a cold laugh spilled from his lips. “If you’d shown me this side of you years ago, I would’ve given you anything you asked for.”
Rachel barely registered his words—her nerves were stretched tauter than piano wire at this point.
Every sound from beyond the door felt like a hammer striking directly at her heart.
Her breaths came shallow and quick.
Dennis returned faster than expected—with keys jangling audibly in hand.
Every noise amplified into deafening clarity.
Rachel could hear each metallic clink colliding together... then finally sliding into place within lock mechanism itself!
One small turn—that was all it'd take—to fling open reality upon them both!
Everything they'd hidden would unravel irreversibly!
At very last possible instant,Kevin rolled off swiftly without warning, tumbling out via half-open window nearby!
They were on second floor—he'd be fine after drop anyway!
Without wasting breath,Rachel bolted straight into bathroom adjoining suite, she “accidentally” knocked down a perfume bottle, masking the lingering scent of their sex in the air.
When the door swung open and everyone rushed inside, Rachel let out a piercing scream, “What do think you're doing?!”
