Introduction
Darkness is a troubled soul with a tortured past. He is slowly losing his fight against the painful darkness that he is named for.
While responding to a distress call to a close friend, he meets a young woman who soothes his soul and brings light into his darkness. He never got her name and never saw her again for the rest of the trip.
After returning home from his time in the Navy, he arrives home to the Cajuns' clubhouse to find his Light on the couch.
Just as he finds her, he learns that she's off limits. She's the daughter of a sister motorcycle club president.
She is forbidden.
Camille has spent the majority of her life not fitting in. She has a close-knit group of friends, but not much more.
She has spent the majority of her high school years living at the Shack, the largest of the clubhouses for the Devil's Saints. On a night when she could not sleep, she met a man who did not see a freak, but a beautiful woman.
Moving to Louisianna, she discovers that he's older than she thought. She has to stay away from the one man that she wants.
What happens when they can't stay away? When they both want what is forbidden?
Darkness sat down on the couch next to her. “I never got your name.”
“Camille.” She smiled and closed the book on the bookmark. “And you’re Darkness.”
“I am.” Unable to help himself, he reached out and gently touched her cheek. “You’re just as pretty as I remember.”
She blushed under his gaze, but never looked away. Darkness leaned in and pressed his lips to hers. He kept the kiss light, afraid if he didn’t, he would go too far.
