Stephanie Fuentebella, a kind and obedient child, grew up devoted to the Church of Holy Cross in Madrid, Spain. After her father, Roland Fuentebella, a brave SWAT officer, passed away when she was ten, Stephanie and her mother, Attorney Maricar Montenegro Fuentebella, lived alone in their large house.

Life seemed normal until her mother remarried Ramil Saavedra, a man ten years her junior. However, Stephanie's world was turned upside down when she discovered her mother's new husband had a hidden past with her.
