I can't believe this is happening to me.  I have lived through actual Hell but I didn't think it would be that bad when I filed for divorce.  When I got home around noon on Friday from my nerve-wracking trip to the courthouse, little did I know that my abusive husband, Shane, was already lying in wait for me.  He knew what I did and I was about to find out the hard way.  

"What makes you think you are going to get rid of me??!" Shane yelled at me, right after he punched me square in the mouth.  I delicately held my hands over my face as he grabbed both of my shoulders and kneed me in the face, causing me to fall to the floor.  How could my life get any worse than that?!  Oh wait, my ex was an asshole and didn't care about anyone else but himself.  "I will make it to where you're not able to sign your name unless I do it for you," Shane spouted at me lying there helpless, then he broke my arm.  Talk about life as a living Hell, no wait, this was worse!  
 
Finally, I thought I was going to get a break when the spy rushed into the house.  It was none other than his treacherous older sister as she yelled, "The cops are coming!"  He was even more furious at that point.  "If I'm going to go, then I should go out in style!" Shane said as he kicked me in the face, breaking my nose all before the cops rushed upon him, taking him away.  

I later woke up in the hospital, not at all sure as to my surroundings.  Did Shane actually get arrested?  I was having a hard time remembering what happened the night before. I needed to get out of there.  It took some convincing but I finally managed to get discharged, so I could get to a place I thought I might be safe, back at home, as long as my ex-ass didn't get released.   

It took all my strength to stand when I fell right in the path of an oncoming vehicle.  Well, this is it, I thought to myself.  Life is short and full of pain.  

"Are you alright?!" I heard the sexiest voice one could ever hear ask me suddenly as I lay there in the roadway.  Talk about love at first sound!  "Devon, get the door!  We're taking her with us!"

I had to stop reading this. thr plot is good. it's just the writing... it's like thr author is forcing the feeling so quickly that is seems unrealistic and not realable

I have this book so far and Love it will there be more chapters to reads or another book so we can get to the ending

you know when you want to read something because the story is interesting but the way it is written is hard to get through? that's how I feel, I can see where the author is going and love that for her, just wish she would read it out loud before publishing it so the redundancy could be lessened.

i totally agree with that. i love where the story is going but the way its written makes me cringe so much.
